Written by: Bruce Badgley on March 1, 2020
Everyone knows Wilson and Reading High are bitter cross town rivals. The Bulldogs having one of the finest seasons in school history we’re looking to put some icing on the cake with a District title. Despite losing to Wilson three times this season Reading High came into the Title game brimming with confidence. A Wilson 12 point halftime lead quickly dissolved into a 2nd half back and forth battle. Wilson standout Junior Stevie Mitchell put his team on his back and willed the Bulldogs to a 58-56 District Title win Saturday afternoon over Reading High.
Mitchell lead all scorers with 27 points and was solid from the free throw line. Evan Timochenko was a force in the first half and finished with 18. Reading Highs balanced attack was led by Moro Osumanu’s 12
