LL Tie-Breakers for 2021-22: NEW JAN 31, 2022

ED note: Here is an updated tie-breaker from the LL League. In the past, all ties for Section Champs were played off. The new criteria, started this season for ALL sports that have tournaments are below.

On an editorial note: we are very pleased that the LL got rid of the mini-bracket idea of tie breaker for 2nd place. Record vs. Section Champ is a better way to go…and follow it up with power points- rewarding teams non-league schedule is commended.

For teams tied for 1st place, Co-Champions are declared and the criteria used to decide seeding
In the event of a 3-way tie for first place, it is plausible that one Section Champion will not qualify for the playoffs.

FIRST PLACE TIE-BREAKER
1) Head to Head
2) Section Record- not including crossovers
3) Power Ranking as provided by District 3 power points
4) Coin flip

SECOND PLACE TIE-BREAKER
1) Head to Head
2) Section Record- not including crossovers
3) Record versus Section Champion
4) Power Rating
5) Coin Flip
