Pequea Valley Girls Race Past Hempfied 48-42

It was a quick turnaround for Pequea Valley. The Braves coming off a close win over Manhiem Central Thursday Night, met up with Hempfield on Saturday afternoon. A strong second half performance advanced Pequea Valley in the L-L Girls Tourney. The Braves moved on by beating Hempfield 48-42.
Senior Abbey Leslie had a stellar all round performance and scored 25 points for the Braves. Lindsey Durkota and Autumn Cook paced Hempfield with 11 each.
A nip and tuck first quarter ended with Hempfield up 13-11

Hempfield opened up as much as an 8 point lead in quarter two. But by halftime the Braves closed the gap to 21-18

The pace in the third quarter quickened. It became a back and forth battle that ended On a game tying steal and buzzer beater shot by PV’s Abbey Leslie
