About Us
UPDATED 2025
Welcome to LLHoops.com!
LLhoops.com has been a source for information on the Lancaster-Lebanon League since 2000. We are nearing 30 years of digital coverage of the Lancaster-Lebanon League boys’ basketball scene.
LLhoops has been recognized by various sources as credentialed media by the Lancaster-Lebanon League, District 3, and the PIAA just to name a very few governing bodies. We are also a voting member of the All-State teams as well.
LLhoops is the brainchild of Dell Jackson. Jackson coached (Penn Manor/Donegal) and played in the L-L (Annville-Cleona ‘75). LLhoops was the first local site to post scores online on game days, post digital picturess, update standings daily, keep and post L-L scoring averages, post rankings of both PA State and District 3 weekly (courtesy of the late Jerry Shenk), post All-Decade L-L Teams, along with keeping an accurate history of the L-L playoffs since its inception in 1973.
Unfortunately, just days prior to the start of the 2024-25 season, Dell suffered a medical episode and was then diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Despite receiving an incredibly difficult prognosis, Dell refused to play a victim to his situation and made it a point to still go out and attend games that year amid his ongoing health battle while continuing to hold court in the gym as a local legend within the local HS basketball circles. Sadly, we lost Dell in his courageous fight in late May 2025. We will all forever be in his debt for his creation that has brought so much enjoyment to now generations of basketball fans and will miss him greatly each and every season.
Our online presence continues to grow, with over 100,000+ unique followers and many, many returning visitors on an annual basis.
In 2024, we launched the LLhoops app: offering a user-friendly experience for checking scores on the go.
We wrote and published a book “Fifty years of Lancaster-Lebanon League Boys’ Basketball,” which tells the story of the league in the words of the people who created the story and the journalists who’ve written about it.
Needless to say, LLhoops continues to evolve and shift amid an ever-changing social media landscape. Follow along for scores, interviews, and on the ground coverage and more: X, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube.
Thank you for the many years of support. We would like to thank the players, coaches, athletic directors, and league officials for providing us with information and allowing us to be BIG FANS of the game.
