About Us

UPDATED 2024

LLhoops.com enters its 25th year! LLhoops has covered Section 1 boys hoops since 2000. The site has evolved from modest beginnings into a leading resource for LL Boys basketball, both locally and at the District 3 and PIAA levels. LLhoops has been acknowledged by multiple sources as a credible media outlet for Pennsylvania high school basketball, including coverage of the Lancaster-Lebanon League, District 3, and PIAA championships. Additionally, LLhoops contributes to selecting the All PA Sports writers teams.

LLhoops was founded by Dell Jackson, who has a rich background in local basketball, having coached at Penn Manor and Donegal and played in the LL (Annville-Cleona ’75). LLhoops was the first local site to post scores online on game day and to live-stream the boys’ and girls’ LL finals for free. We also offer live-streamed audio and interviews during games, along with comprehensive photo coverage, standings, and individual scoring stats.

Our online presence continues to grow, with over 100,000+ unique followers and many returning visitors. During the 2021-22 basketball season, we averaged over 20,000+ visitors per month.

In the 2022 season, LLhoops introduced a new talk show, Pick and Roll. Looking ahead to the 2024-25 season, we plan to launch a weekly recap show. Additionally, we continue to expand our media presence in innovative ways. In 2024, we launched the LLhoops app: offering a user-friendly experience for checking scores on the go.

We wrote and published a book “Fifty years of Lancaster-Lebanon League Boys’ Basketball,” which tells the story of the league in the words of the people who created the story and the journalists who’ve written about it.

LLhoops continues to evolve. Follow along for scores, interviews, and on the ground coverage and more: X, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube.

Thank you for the many years of support. We would like to thank the players, coaches, athletic directors, and league officials for providing us with information and allowing us to be BIG FANS of the game.
