Two Rainy Nights In Georgia
Written by: Jerry Shenk on February 10, 2018
I wouldn’t usually post these here, but they were 7A Region Championship games and they both ended with the winning team hitting an unbelievable buzzer beater shot to come from behind.
First off the first game was Friday night between Norcross and Meadowbrook, the second on Saturday night between Pebblebrook and Marietta Wheeler. Not sure about Saturday night but on Friday the real feel temperature was 70 outside and in a jam packed gym it was 93 at game time.
Two of the most unbelievable game ending shots I ever saw and then on back to back nights, both streamed live in Georgia. Neither video is long but you have to go full screen to seeĀ appreciate theseĀ endings. Both winners were losing and the buzzer ending shots gave them the wins. In the first game Kyle SturdivantĀ had done the exact same thing against the same team to win a regular season game two weeks ago.
It's not deja vu – Kyle Sturdivant steals another one from the Meadowcreek Mustangs at the buzzer. Welp, it's that time of year. Big time players making big time plays.
Grant Howard sticks with it & gives Pebblebrook a Region Championship in the process. #GameTime@iam_g10 @gewj2391 @HSBasketballBR @samcrenshaw23 @GAHoopCircle @CoachHines28 @_brooksquad #SUVtv pic.twitter.com/Pz19WrGEPm
