Vincent Thaler (Octorara)- 1,000 Career Points

Written by: Andy Herr on February 5, 2026

Earlier this week, inside of their thrilling come-from-behind victory while just up the road at L-S, Octorara’s Vincent Thaler decided on his own to make it a memorable game, albeit for a far different occasion aside from seeing the Braves officially make it a perfect sweep over fellow L-L competition this season while en route to a 20-1 regular season mark.

Against their rivals, Thaler didn’t just score 21 points on the night to pace to Octorara machine, nine more than the next closest Brave, but Thaler also stitched his name to the program’s 1,000-point banner amid their 58-57 victory against the Pioneers.

This season, even despite being the newest member to join the exclusive fraternity, Thaler finds himself second on the Braves’ scoring sheet, a mere .4 behind Vito Vespe, with both seniors averaging over 14-points-per-game respectively. Thaler’s high-water mark on the season – and varsity career – came just recently, Martin Luther King Jr Day, after Thaler notched a 32-point showing in a nonleague win over Olney Charter of the Philly Public League that afternoon.

Aside from being a key member of this year’s Section Three champion cast at Octorara, Thaler becomes the 17th player all-time in Braves’ history to reach the milestone, including becoming the fourth since the school’s inception into the L-L League, joining the likes of Naji & Elijah Hamilton, and the program’s second all-time leading scorer, Zach Kirk.

We recognize and congratulate Vincent on this accomplishment and wish he & the Braves success into the postseason and beyond.
