Lancaster-Lebanon League Girls’ Championship Game Sponsored By Orthopedic Associates Of Lancaster (LLHoops Livestream): REPLAY

For the 8th consecutive year, LLHoops is pleased to have partnered with the L-L League in being the exclusive streaming provider for bringing you both the boys’ and girls’ championship games, sponsored this year by OAL.
While the boys’ final between Octorara and Lancaster Mennonite bucks nearly all historical trends, the girls’ grand finale on Friday night conversely features a case of “been there, done that” when Manheim Township takes on Cedar Crest by comparison.
On the season, both the Streaks and Lady Falcons have split their season series in Section One play, setting up this rubber match with the victor not only claiming bragging rights and the metaphorical outright Section One crown as both officially shared with the other during the regular season, but the L-L title to boot.
To get to Friday night, Manheim Township, making their second straight appearance in the girls’ championship game, primarily leaned on the efforts of Ciniya Robinson as the sophomore lit up Warwick the semifinal round game by pouring in 27 game-high points to help power the Streaks past their neighbors to the north, 47-39, as Township now comes into Friday having only lost once since January 12th while en route to a 19-4 record on the season.
For Cedar Crest, after a thrilling double overtime first round win at Lancaster Catholic which saw the Falcons’ own sophomore star, Elli Malinowski, fearlessly sink three free throws with 0.0 on the clock to extend the game beyond regulation, Cedar Crest officially punched their ticket to Friday night by locking down Ephrata to all of eight second half points which ultimately helped to culminate in a 31-24 semifinal round victory over the Section Two co-champs as Cedar Crest now looks to have put that four-game losing streak found coming into the league playoffs in the rearview mirror.
Township will be shooting for their first league championship since 2014 when they take to their home floor on Friday night while Cedar Crest, already having beaten Township at Township this season, will once again be looking to play the role of road warriors while also trying to bag the program’s first L-L title since 2017 in the process.
