Michael Lower (Penn Manor) – 1,000 Career Points

Written by: Andy Herr on January 5, 2025

In their game on Thursday night against West York, Penn Manor’s Michael Lower went over the 1,000-point plateau for his career. In doing so, he becomes just the 7th Comet in program history to reach the mark, while also joining his father, G.J. Lower, among the list of seven. The Penn Manor senior guard ended the evening with 1,001 points over his career, 508 of which came through his freshman and sophomore seasons while competing for State College High and St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy (Boalsburg, PA) respectively. Additionally, the Lower’s now join the Poole’s at Columbia for what is believed to just the second father-son duo in Lancaster-Lebanon League history to go over 1,000 points while playing for the same school with Michael Poole Sr (’86) and Michael Poole Jr (’21) doing so previously. Congrats to Michael.
