The winds of change continue to blow thru Northern Lebanon. Beyond the glitzy new athletic digs (both indoors and outdoors) that all the Vikings’ athletes are able to enjoy and partake of these days, there’s also been changes at the top when it comes to the teams themselves. And one team within the overall NL framework at large may know that feeling better than most.

For the third time in as many seasons, the Northern Lebanon Vikings boys’ basketball team will have a different head man pacing the sidelines and leading the huddles. Beginning this year, that baton has now been passed on to Scott Attivo.

We recently had the chance to chat with Coach Attivo for a wide-ranging discussion on a myriad of different topics. Among them, his own high school roots which can be traced back to some of the more legendary Steel-High squads ever assembled, the pathways which took him into the coaching profession, and what’s he’s been up to lately and the places he’s worked at. (Hint: One of those schools isn’t located all that far away from the campus he drives onto now as boss at NL). Additionally, we discussed some of the honest challenges that can come with being the third voice his players have heard in as many years, and what excites him about the short- and long-term future he envisions while leading the program.

We wish Coach Attivo and the Vikings much success as they embark on this new chapter together
