Questions
- Why did you decide to start playing basketball?
“I grew up watching my dad and brother play, so I was always around the game and it just feels like a part of me. My dad played in college and coached high school for many years, so I always had someone who really knew the game around. I was always competitive with my brother in any sport but basketball the most. I always wanted to beat his records even if it was just playing horse in the back yard.”
- What’s your favorite part of the game of basketball?
”If we’re talking skill wise, it will always be shooting. But what I love most is the process. I love the workouts or the training. I just love the challenge of preparing to win.”
- What NBA/College basketball player do you model your game after and why?
“I have enjoyed watching Tyler Herro since his high school days. But growing up my dad always had me watching JJ Redick or Seth Curry. He always told me to watch how they play and move off the ball.”
- What’s your favorite moment from your high school basketball career up to this point?
“My favorite moment was from this last season was when we played Haverford at home and I got my first, real in-game dunk. I don’t think to many people were expecting it and I just remember how hype the gym was. It was the 4th game of the season and it helped me gain a little confidence for rest of the season.”
- What are your goals for the upcoming 2024-2025 high school basketball season?
“We’re moving up a classification but our goals stay the same. I’m very excited about the team this year and we’re going to surprise a lot of people. We’re a young team but I know we can compete with the best. That’s why we are playing such a tough schedule this year and we’re not going to back down from anybody.”
- What are your plans for after high school?
“I want to be the best basketball player I can be and play at the highest level I can, using the talent God has blessed me with. And I plan on working as hard as I can to make that happen.”
