Questions

  1. Why did you decide to start playing basketball?

“From as early as I can remember, basketball has been a central part of my life. I was dribbling a ball before I could even fully grasp its size and weight. My brothers have significantly helped me on this journey, constantly challenging me and pushing me to improve my skills. Alongside them, my parents have always been there for me, attending every game they can and offering help whenever I need it. I’m very fortunate and thankful for my family, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.”

  1. What’s your favorite part of the game of basketball?

“My favorite part of the game is simply the grind. Having the opportunity to pick up a basketball every day and put in the work feels like a breath of fresh air. Additionally, the memories and friendships I’ve created because of the game is another reason why basketball is so important to me.”

  1. What NBA/College basketball player do you model your game after and why?

“I’ve modeled my game after Kobe Bryant, particularly admiring his pull up midrange and post fadeaway. His ability to create space and make those shots look effortless was incredible to me and inspired me to put more work in than I was putting in before.”

  1. What’s your favorite moment from your high school basketball career up to this point?

“We’ve had many memorable wins and personal achievements, but nothing compares to the bond of sharing the court with my brother Ryan during my freshman year and his senior year. Those moments were incredibly special to me, as he is a significant role model in my life. Competing side by side with him is an experience I will forever cherish.”

  1. What are your goals for the upcoming 2024-2025 high school basketball season?

Last season, being just one spot away from making the playoffs, was a tough pill to swallow. This season, I’m determined to make the playoffs and take a shot at the section title. Additionally, I aim to reach the personal milestone of scoring 1,000 points.”

  1. What are your plans for after high school?

“I would like to continue playing basketball in college. Although I haven’t decided where I will go, I am very excited to see what the future holds for me.”
