Berks Catholic Battles Back To Beat Wyomissing 42-40

Written by: Bruce Badgley on January 2, 2020

(Reading) Just throw out season records. It does not matter what sport or where they play. When Wyomissing and Berks Catholic meet up  it is intense action from start to finish. Thursday night was no different when the Spartans made the short drive to BC in a Berks Two Hoops  clash.  The Saints (2-0, 4-2) started sharpe and ended strong defeating Wyomissing 42-40.

BC’s solid Sophomore Matt Harley did it all scoring 23. Sharpe shooting  Darren Brunner with 13 and Max Hurleman’s 11 paced the Spartans

Berks Catholic looked good early.

Midway through quarter one Wyo caught fire and led 10-8 after one

Wyomissing moved out to an eight point lead In the second quarter

But there was no let up in BC  The Saints closed the gap to only one at halftime

Wyomissing held a comfortable lead in quarter three , but could not shake BC  Christian Cacchione’ s three at the buzzer kept BC close after three

It really came unglued in quarter four. The fans were crazy , and BC fed on the stands frenzy to forge into a late lead and beat Wyomissing 42-40
