Berks Catholic Girls Top Wyomissing 55-45 For BCIAA Title
Written by: Bruce Badgley on February 27, 2021
Berks Catholic and Wyomissing did not face one another this regular season. The BCIAA realignment and COVID issues made a regular season matchup impossible. Now enter the post season. Both teams advanced to the BCIAA final by downing arch rivals in close contests. Wyomissing again started out with hot first quarter shooting. Berks Catholic never seemed rattled. The Saints got down early. Gathered themselves, regrouped and played an excellent second half. This stellar 2nd half play vaulted Berks Catholic to a BCIAA title 55-45 0ver Wyomissing. Both teams move on to the District playoffs next week.
Caroline Reedy was 7-7 on free throws and finished with 19 points. Keziah Brantley had 14 and made key buckets in crunch time. Wyomissing star Lily Seyfert finished with 21 points in a losing effort.
