Central York Girls Impressive In 57-37 Win Over Governor Mifflin

Similarly Central York and Governor Mifflin came into Saturday afternoons game off important Friday Night wins. Both teams came in with realistic chances to host a District 3 first round playoff game.  But in Saturdays game it was a tale of two different teams. Central York had a crisp, mistake free offensive flow coupled with a menacing defense.  Governor Mifflin never seemed to get on track offensively and allowed  to many open offensive chances.  The result was a Central York moving to (8-3) with a  message sending 57-37 victory over a good Governor Mifflin (12-4) squad  Saturday afternoon.

Bella Chimienti led a balanced Panther attack with 14.  Georgia Ponopoules chipped in 12.  Besides her 8 points Soph. Mackenzie Wright-Rawls played a superb inside game.  Mifflin’s standout Stella Mollica was game high scorer with 21.

Central York jumped out fast but Mifflin close the gap to four at the end of quarter one.

Central York outscored Mifflin 23-12 in quarter two and never looked back.

Central York extended the lead in the third and led
