(Reading) It did not feel like a league opener  Friday Night when Wilson and Reading High met at the Geigle Complex. A packed house. A gym filled with current and former Berks County Athletes. A game that had the feel of a post season win or go home tilt. It was an intense atmosphere to say the least. After a back and forth first half, Wilson dominated the second half. The Bulldogs came way with a solid 57-34 victory over Reading High.

Stevie Mitchell once again led the a Bulldogs with 22 points. Evan Timochenko who played well on both ends of the floor had 11. Denim Adams paced Reading High with 12.

Both teams came out tight on offense but defensively it was “game on” out of the blocks.

Most of the first quarter was a defensive stalemate

The play of the night was turned in by Stevie Mitchell in quarter one

Wilson hung tough for the rest of quarter one and led Reading High 11-8.

The second quarter went back and forth  as no team was able to gain any momentum. We went to half tied at 22

Reading held the lead almost halfway through quarter three. Then Wilson ran off a 13-0 run into quarter four and never looked back.

The scoring woes continued into quarter four for Reading High.

It turned into a game of keep away and Wilson came out victorious 57-34 over Reading High
