Exeter entered the game as the number 7 5A team in the power rankings with an 11-5 record. The Eagles play in the Berks County 2 League (Berks Catholic has a 1/2 game lead) and have cross-overs with Reading, Wilson, Muhlenberg and Gov. Mifflin. Exeter was coming off an impressive W vs. Wilson. Would there be a Saturday afternoon let down? Nah. Exeter used its balance, timely shooting and post play to coast to a 67-46 win on the road.

Conestoga Valley entered the day at number 15 in the 6A classification. The Buckskins will need to win out in all likely hood to have a shot at a district play-off spot. The road doesn’t get much easier for the Bucks as they have to play Warwick Tuesday.

CV started out with a 2-3 zone, trying to make Exeter hit some jumpers. Exeter started out on a 4-0 run. CV answered with the three ball by Griffin Rishell. Exeter answered with a 7-0 run (Zyion Paschall jumper, a three ball and 2 foul shots by Kevin Saenz). 13-5 after one.

Exeter continued to limit the Buckskins on the offensive end. CV would net 7 points in the quarter. The Eagles ended the quarter with 2 buckets to coast into the half at 24-12.

Exeter took total control in the 3rd buy outscoring CV 22-12. Zyion Paschall (LLhoops player of the game). The Buckskins could never string together more than 4 points in a row, and could not stop Exeter on the offensive end. 46- 25 after 3.

Both teams worked on their sets and played a bunch of players in the 4th. The only thing to be decided was the final score. Both teams put up 21 points in the final stanza so the difference stayed the same.

Warwick visits Conestoga Valley Jan. 31. CV is now 10-8

Exeter- Kevin Saenz 16, Zyion Paschall 14, Anthony Caccese 10
Conestoga Valley- Owen Fisher 8 , Nasziir Anderson 7

Unofficial Stats:
Rebounds: Exeter 26 CV 14
Turnovers: Exeter 16 , CV 7
Blocks: Exeter 3, CV 2
