L-L League Senior All-Star Games Recap (2024)

Shooters keep on shooting. And that’s exactly what Jordan Poole did Tuesday night.

“I just wanted to help my team win,” said Poole, a senior guard from Columbia. “It was a big shot. I took it…it came to me, hit the three, got the win, let’s go.”

Poole knocked down a go-ahead three-pointer and scored seven points in the final two minutes to lift his team to a championship victory in the final contest of the Lancaster-Lebanon League Senior All-Star Games.

Poole’s squad, Team 2, defeated Team 1, 30-29, in the final competition of the night at Hempfield High School.

Four teams took part in a round-robin competition Tuesday evening at HHS. The all-star squads played 10-minute, running clock games with the top two performing teams meeting in the championship final.

Team 2, coached by Lampeter-Strasburg’s Ed Berryman, was led by Penn Manor star Ethan Benne. Benne tallied 35 points across four 10-minute games.

“It’s a really cool event this year,” said Benne. “With the competitiveness, you want to win.”

Helping Benne and Team 2’s cause was Lampeter-Strasburg forward Justin Glick. He knocked down six three-pointers and scored 28 points on the night.

“Once you just make a few, you get in a rhythm and you keep shooting them and I was hitting them,” said Glick. “So, keep shooting.”

Team 1 finished as the runner-up. The squad was led by Donegal standout point guard Jonzel Morant, who scored 25 points across four games.
