The Warwick Warriors were coming off an OT game with Wilson- forced into
OT by a tip off a foul shot. Warwick forced this contest into OT on a 25 foot bank shot by Carter Horst, 6’1” jn. However, it was the TWP Streaks that took control in OT by outscoring the Warriors 19-12 in the final stanza to claim a big W.
The first period was a back and forth affair. TWP would have the only “run” by back-to-back drives by Caden Young – the last a twisty draw contact layup. Trevor Evans would net 2 three balls for Warwick. The period ended with Thomas Jeanes , 6’5” jn , connecting on a lay-up giving Warwick a 16-15 lead.
Warwick would run off a 13-0 run to start the 2nd period. Horst doing most of the damage- 2 three balls and a layup. Bennett Parmer, 6’1” jn would finally put the Streaks on the board with 2:30 to go (29-17). TWP got to the line 6 times (made 4) towards the end of the 2nd to cut the lead to 32-25.

TWP used a 1-2-2 half court trap to try to turn over the Warriors. The trap forced some turnovers (4 in the period) and the Streaks hit 2 big time triples (William King 5’10” jn), the last one tied the game at 45. Bring on the crowd noise. A bucket by Evans gave Warwick a brief lead at 48-47 at the 2:36 mark. Mason Burr scored on a layup – Warwick 50-49 about 1 minute on the clock. TWP started to control the boards and Warwick was forced to foul. The Streaks made 5/7 down the stretch. Carter Horst got fouled with 08 on the clock. He made both to cut the lead to 2 at 54-52. Twp made 1 out of 2 with 7 ticks left. Horst got the ball, dribbled up the right side and let a bomb go—look doff until it hit the glass and banked in.55-55 and heading into OT.
