Millersburg came into the tournament as the number 1 seed, and they played like it.
Emma Miller (17 points) and Jana Strait (13 points) provided the scoring, and the LCDay Cougars couldn’t answer on their offensive end.

The LCDay Cougars took an early lead at 3-0 with 6:27 on the clock – Rebecca McKinnon bucket and a foul shot by Chloe Flatt. The Millersburg Indians ran off the last 12 point of the quarter. Millersburg 2-2-1 full court defense focused on LCDay’s top scorer, Sophia Sanchez. It proved very effective throughout the game. 12-3 Millersburg after one.

Points were tough to come by in the second quarter. Millersburg and LCDay both finished with 7 points in the second stanza. Millersburg dynamic duo of Miller and Strait scored 6 of the 7 points for then Indians. LCDay’s Sanchez netted all the points for the Cougars. Millersburg 21-10 at the break.

The Indians left no doubt coming out of the halftime break as they went on a 9-0 run – the last on a three-ball by Strait. LCDay cut the lead to 33-18 on a three ball by Sanchez. Sanchez was hurt on the play and was limited on her movement for the rest of the game. The quarter ended at 33-20.

LCDay would make one more mini-run (35-24) with 2 minutes gone in the fourth. Fallon McFadden would nail 2 triples, the last with 5:08 left in the game- 43-26 Millersburg. Nothing left but counting up the final score.
