Section 2 vs Section 3. Top guards vs top guards. From this point of view, LOTS of guards vs LOTS of guards 🙂 One team had 2 games under its belt (Warwick), the other team had zero ( Manheim Central). Bottom line – Warwick was the better team, using some tough defense and having a strong leader in Tate Landis.

Tate Landis- 5’11” senior. He has played in a ton of games for Warwick. He is their leader, general, private. Seriously, he drives the engine for Warwick. Tonight he played a real nice floor game, sprinkled in 21 points and played tremendous defense all night.

Warwick broke out early. 7-0 to start the game. Ryan Fink led the way with a three ball and a follow. Central would answer with a nice drive by Judd Novak and a three ball by Trey Grube. The quarter ended with a three ball by Landis. Warwick 12-8. Central would not get any closer.

Warwick would take control in the second quarter. A 14-2 run capped off by back to back triples by sharp shooter, Chase Krall. Landis would finish off the scoring by adding 2 free throws with 5 ticks left in the quarter. 36-17.

The Warriors would display another spurt to start the third- 9-0n run- to put the game out of reach for Manheim Central. The lead would stretch to 30 before the end of the game. Both teams would put their subs in during the 4th.

Points:
Warwick -Tate Landis 21, Carter Horst 10, Ryan Fink 11
Manheim Central – Tery Grube 17, Judd Novak 11, Collin Thompson 10
