Hempfield Girls To Much For Warwick 43-25

(Landisville)   Games down the stretch this season are being magnified more than in years past. With the reduction of teams making the post season, there is no margin of error.  Games that should be won, must be won.  Hempfield  came into action Wednesday leading Section 1 and facing a middle of the pack Section 2 opponent in Warwick.  Hempfield  (9-4) took care of business with solid first and fourth quarters and beat  Warwick ( 5-4) 43-25.

Autumn Cook with 15 and Lauren Moffatt’s 12 points led the way for the Black Knights.  Jessica Williamson had 7 for the Warriors.

Hempfield sent a message with a very strong first quarter and led by 15 after one.

Both defenses stiffened in quarter two.  Warwick held Hempfield to only two points and we went into halftime with the Black Knights up 20-9.

Warwick kept hanging around but never got closer than eight  to the Black Knights in quarter three.

Hempfield picked up the offensive intensity in the final stanza and moved out to a 43-25 win over Warwick.
