(Millersville) It was a long week for the Penn Manor Girls leading up to its District Three Opener vs Wilson. The Lancaster Lebanon Section One Champs had plenty of time to think about a stinging OT defeat that kept them from playing for the first league title in school history. Now it’s important District playoff time for the Comets. Two or three important Penn Manor wins remain to qualify the Comets into the PIAA Tournament. Monday night Penn Manor got the first win needed in their PIAA quest by besting BCIAA Tourney runner up Wilson 44-29 in a District Three opening round game.
Penn Manors balanced scoring was led by Izzy Kligge and Lily Sugra with 12. The Bulldogs also has two players with 12. Sharpe shooting Gia Borelli and Keira Levangood who played well inside all game long for Wilson.
Penn Manor came out looking like a team with something to prove. The Comets put in 4 three pointers in a strong 18-point first quarter.

Wilson could never mount a charge in the final quarter. Some good outside shooting by Penn Manor propelled the Comets to the victory. On tap next a matchup with #1 seed Cedar Cliff Thursday night.
