Warwick Ends Lebanon’s Season 58-49 in District Three Opening Round

(Lititz) Warwick clinched the Lancaster Lebanon League Section Two title by coming from behind and beating Lebanon in OT.    The luck of the District Three Tournament draw had these league rivals going at it again in an opening round tilt. But this time it looked like two entirely different teams than the last game.  The Cedars struggled on offense and had difficulty matching up on defense.  For Warwick, rather than having to battle from behind, the Warriors jumped out early and were really never challenged.  Warwick was a complete package and handed Lebanon a season ending 58-49 loss Tuesday night.

A good sign for the Warriors was Tate Landis getting into an offensive groove.  Tate shot the ball well all night and finished with 25 points. Adrian Cruz paced the Cedars with 19.

Warwick came out hot, poured in 18 first quarter points and held a nine-point league after one.

Lebanon could not get into any kind of rhythm offensively in quarter two either.  Warwick held a 31-20 lead at halftime.

Lebanon kept plugging away in quarter three but could not seem to eat into the lead.  Warwick played just good enough to keep a 12-point cushion going to quarter four.

Warwick took everything a 19-point Lebanon fourth quarter could throw at them.  In the end a solid performance by Warwick and a 58-49 District Three Tournament win.  Off to Cumberland Valley next for Warwick in pursuit of a PIAA Tourney berth.
