WILKES-BARRE— When Andrew Krawczyk gave Pittston Area the lead early in the fourth quarter, you knew the game was still far from being over. Wilkes-Barre Area would take the lead back two more times until a Mike George triple gave Pittston Area an advantage that they would hold onto for a pulsating 50-47 win.

In the last two minutes of the first half, tensions started to grow with the score tied at 17. Wilkes-Barre Area would go into the break with a 21-18 lead. Pittston’s JJ Walsh would hit a quick three to start the second half to tie the game at 21, but after a tightly contested third quarter, the Wolfpack would still be clawing onto their three-point lead, 34-31.

Pittston Area ultimately found their success at the free throw line going 20-25 for the game, led by Brandon Higgins who went 8-10 at the stripe and finishing with 15 points. Blake Masker (Wilkes-Barre) would lead the game with 18, including 9 in the first quarter.  Saquan Portee (Wilkes-Barre) left the court, with 5 minutes remaining in the 4th, with an apparent shoulder injury only to return several minutes later with his left shoulder wrapped. He would play the remainder of the game.
