BOYS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Paul Feisel (6-2 junior) has made the transition to varsity action and is making a big impact for Crestwood. On opening night, he scored 15 points as the Comets defeated Scranton, 71-62. The next evening, the versatile junior connected on 20 points in an 87-44 win over Lake-Lehman. Then, against Williamsport, Feisel netted 20 points in a convincing 61-35 victory over the Millionaires. Over the three games, he connected on 12 triples.
Zachary Rovinsky (6-7 senior forward) is powering Western Wayne to a successful start to the season. In their opener, he scored 21 points in a 51-43 win over Hanover Area. Then, in a 62-51 victory over a highly regarded Dunmore squad, the 6-7 senior netted 27 points. In the Cal King Tournament, the Wildcats dropped the semi-final, 54-52, to Lakeland as he contributed 12 points. In the consolation tilt, Rovinsky connected on 39 points in a 61-52 win over Lake-Lehman.
GIRLS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Allycia Harris (senior guard) has played a key role in developing team chemistry on and off the court for Wilkes-Barre Area. The senior guard scored 17 points in their opening 49-31 win over Wyoming Seminary. She contributed 11 points as the Wolfpack defeated Scranton 44-31. Harris then netted 22 pointed against Tunkhannock on Friday night to keep her squad undefeated on the season.
Kaci Kranson (5-8 sophomore forward) is off to an incredible start for Holy Cross. She hit 28 points in their 62-40 win over Scranton on opening weekend. She then netted 31 points as the Lady Crusaders defeated Western Wayne, 75-39. Against rival Holy Redeemer, the sophomore forward contributed 29 points as Holy Cross rallied in the final period for a 75-67 victory.
