Special coverage this week
Wyomissing takes on ELCO in Philly at the Wells Fargo Center. Its a 2:30 tip on a Monday. No worries as Andy and Dell will be there doing their usual tweeting, short videos, and a game wrap. Let’s take a look around the LL

Section 1
Cedar Crest defeated Hempfield (70-51) Friday evening. The wrap is linked above. The win sets up a big early contest between the Falcons and upstart Penn Manor Comets (6-0) on Wed. Dec. 20th. LLhoops will be live streaming this game. TWP notched a W last week to keep pace with Crest and PM.

Section 2
Should anyone be surprised with Manheim Central is 4-0. Coach Charlie Fisher’s group got off to a nice start as the Barons usually have some time to get into basketball shape coming off a long football season. The Barons have 2 games this week, with the LL game being between them and Conestoga Valley (1-0 in LL play)

Section 3
Both LS and Donegal are leading the pack. The Donegal Indians have won 5 in a row, and the LS Pioneers have a 4 game winning streak. By the way, both of these team meet up Monday at LS. LS notched an impressive W vs. Hempfield earlier in the season (65-53). The Pioneers play hard and feature their typical three-point play with Chase Smucker, 5’11” jn (17 ppg and 11 triples), and Dean Herr, 5’11” sn,(9 ppl and 13 triples) leading the way. Donegal features balanced scoring- Evyan Patel 16 ppg, Sawyer Floyd 14 ppg, and Deandre White 11ppg.

Section 4
How about all the Section 4 teams have winning records entering the week? The teams start playing each other this week. With only 5 teams in the section, all have to fill in non-league games when they can. One of the bigger surprises this season is Annville-Cleona coming in at 5-1. The Dutchmen are led by scoring machines, Jonathon Shay, 6’3” jn. (12ppg) and Elisha Slabach, 6’ jn (22 ppg). The Dutchmen were 8-14 last season and appear to be on their way to a possible District 3 berth. AC entertains Lancaster Mennonite Dec. 18.

Jon K and Phil T. are taking care of the Northeast beat with wraps and schedules/standings.
Bruce Badgley will be running our live stream games again this year, as well as announcers, John Graham and Warren Goodling….Did I mention Dell and Andy?

Live Streaming
We have a few games scheduled for the season. The plan is to get at least one game from each section before the end of the year. The schedule depends on some IT issues as well as weather problems. The big news is that we will be broadcasting the LL finals again this year.

Stat me…
Always interesting…Last week we had over 10,000 views. Last season we had over 100,000 unique visitors. The score page continues to lead the pack for clicks.
