50 Years of the L-L Boys’ Basketball
It’s finally released!

It only took us a year and 1/2. I have a new appreciation for independent authors.Last season, 2021-2022, marked the 50th year of the LL League. Dell asked Mike Gross, LNP, to help compile some information about the history of the league for boys hoops. LLhoops.com had some of the information on the website, but we felt like there were many stories that needed to be told. The book features interviews, decade pieces, coaching records, LL standings, LL finals history and more.

The last week of the LL regular schedule…
The week of Feb. 6-11 concludes the regular season of the LL. Most of the playoff slots are locked down with a few exceptions.

Section 1
Hempfield locked up the Section 1 crown. The second slot for the LL tournament will come down to a game between Cedar Crest @ McCaskey Tues.Feb. 7th.

Section 2
Manheim Central has a one game lead on Warwick. Both teams face-off on Thursday Feb. 9th at Central.

Section 3
LS took a one game lead over Octorara with a 61-52 W at LS last week (LLHoops live stream game). LS plays @ Northern Lebanon on Monday and @ Cocalico on Thursday Feb. 9th. ELCO and Conestoga travels to Octorara this week.

Section 4
Columbia is in the lead- by one game. The Tide travels to Lancaster Mennonite on Wed. Feb. 8th (llhoops live stream game).

This and that….
Fingers crossed in that we have had no MAJOR schedule issues due to weather this season. The AD’s and LLhoops live stream has to enjoy a calm winter, so far. LL tournament starts the following week. LLhoops will live-steam both the girls and boys games – Feb. 16 and 17th…LLhoops all section teams will come out after the season is concluded. Our teams are selected by our staff (Dell and Andy). …Congrats to all our POG winners this season. T’s provided by LLhoops and SpookyNook Basketball. Really, its one of the best moments of any evening when we are covering games. We are out of gear for multiple winners: Miguel Pena (Hempfield) and Luke Hines (LS) 🙂

LL Finals…
