Shameless begging…
Thanks to all our sponsors this season. As is always the case, we lost a few from last season.
We could use a few more sponsors this season to be able to bring the LL fans some live stream games including the LL finals. Packages run from $100-600. LLhoops has been in business for over 23 years, and we have a tax ID for business deductions. Contact webmaster@llhoops.com if interested in supporting us. Special thanks to major sponsors: Dan Taylor-Attorney, Hannah Speraw, Spooky Nook Basketball, Stephen Grosh-Attorney, Stephen Lewis Insurance.

Store me…
LLhoops store has t-shirts and LLhoops beanies. It’s not too late to get a neat present for a hoopster!

Live me..
We are starting our productions this next week. Scheduled to live stream is Penn Manor at McCaskey on Friday Dec 16th. We will be trying out some new equipment so that should improve the connections issues that have plagued us in the past. We will have links up for the game on the site via our you tube page. All our past productions are on our YouTube page (@llhoops). Bruce Badgley, James Hein, and Warren Goodling will be bringing us most of the games. We are hoping to secure the rights for the LL finals this season as well. We might have a sneak preview taped game this week as well. Stay tuned 🙂

Mid Penn/LL shootout at Man Central Jan 21.
LLhoops will be broadcasting these contests thru the NFHS network. For those who do not know, this is a subscription based site. We will provide links for sign up as the time gets closer. $12.99 per month and cancel at anytime. We are looking forward to bring  the scheduled games for subscribers. Stay tuned for more information here as the time gets closer.

Around the LL..
Annville-Cleona notches it’s third win this past week- matching it’s total from last year. Jonathan Shay, a 6’2” sophomore, is leading the Dutchmen as he is averaging 15 ppg. This includes a 32 point performance vs. Upper Dauphin.

Penn Manor—The Comets are 3-1 with one close lose to Palmyra. PM is led by 6’5” jn. Ethan Benne who is averaging 20 ppg.

Octorara– No surprise here. The Braves scoring leader is Zach Kirk,16 ppg. The interesting fact here is that Octorara’s big man, Elijah Hamilton, has not played yet.

Donegal – First year Coach Ryan Shipper has the Indians playing fast both on defense and offense. The Indians have four players close to double digits, with the top scorer is Evan Patel, 6’1” jn (15 ppg). The Indians do not have a “big man” but they rebound the heck out of the ball. POG Dutch Good informed us that Donegal was on the edge of qualifying for Districts last year. They are off to a great start.

LL League games
So it begins…like this Thursday with Donegal at Lancaster Catholic & ELCO at LS.
On Friday, 6 more contests are slated.

Podcast—-‘After the Buzzer‘ with Mike Gross and Gordie Jones.
Dell got the invite this past week- HERE. Topics included the ’50th Years of Lancaster-Lebanon League Boys Basketball’ book and some updates of LL boys.
The guys chat about sports- pros, NCAA, and High School. They always have an interesting guest on (Wally Walker was featured earlier this month). The podcast lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Check it out!

New for LLhoops.com
Luke Brown will give us some insights from the Mid Penn by doing a weekly column/wrap of some teams/games.

York/Adams overview. We will be doing some zooms with Dallastown’s Coach Mike Grassel.
Looking forward to chatting with coach and discussing teams on “the other side of the river”.

50th History Book….when?
Most of the work is completed. We would love to give a publish date but we are going over the book with several edits – each edit adds to the delay. As of today, the book will be over 300 pages. Of course, we will let everyone know via the website and twitter as to where/how to get the book. Stay tuned. This project has been ongoing for over a year, with chapters by Andy Herr, Gordie Jones, Mike Gross, and Dell. Photographers who provided images used within the book include: Hosh Posh, Max Molina, LNP Media group, Dave Porter, and Mark Palczewski.

Week ahead…
Dec 12-17 schedule is HERE. LLhoops will be out and about to various games.

Enjoy!
